Suggestions for Autumn 2026
Byrd Kyrie
The oldest of the suggested works, dating from around 1592. Some members of CantarasToo have expressed concerns about its complexity, it has many contrapuntal entries.

Mozart Ave Verum
This piece is a sacred motet created by Mozart in 1791. The entries are much simpler than the Byrd Kyrie. This track is a capella, but there is a piano accompaniment that could be added.
Allegri Miserere Mei
Number 6 (of 300) in the Classic FM Hall of Fame. Complexity is similar to the Byrd Kyrie, although again the entries are more co-ordinated between the parts.
Carol of the Bells.
Suggested by a CantarasToo member. This piece would probably require the least preparation time, as we have performed it before.
